Is that Kwikfit Jimmy?

Both ATS and Kwikfit so ended up going to a small independent garage who was £120+ cheaper but was really busy and had to wait a week to have the exhaust fitted.

And the reason they're so busy is that Kwikfit etc are so shit these days...it's ridiculous. As you say, you used to just be able to go in, wait, have the work done and go. Those days are gone for some reason...to borrow a well used phrase, is it me or is everything shit?

My take (and it could be wild) is that it's the same reason that the roads are so shit. Cars have got heavier and more complicated and there are a lot more of them, but the services that are available haven't increased to the same level.

Ive got a 2018 car and a 2008 car and the mechanic at my local garage told me he much prefers to work on the older car as it's mechanically more straightforward. Therefore my diagnosis of that is that servicing modern cars takes longer and there are way more of them. I imagine Kwikfit haven't expanded so much that they could continue to offer the same service in the nineties.

Sorry that's a bit rambly and maybe doesn't make sense, but here we are.

Ten to fifteen years ago you could drive into Swindon Exhaust off of Crombey Steet and were guaranteed to fix your exhaust there and then but that was all they did there and always carried lots of stock for different cars. Bells Silencers up in Old Town were the same but now you have to book an appointment with their “Fabricator” who will make you one if you accept their price but it wouldn’t be straight away.

No garage stock them anymore which is surprising considering how many cars are on the road. ATS & Kwikfit didn’t even know the exact price for a complete exhaust which surprised me and didn’t give me the impression that they fit many exhaust these days.

Thomas Tuchel is really fucking this job up.

I'm certain there's some sort of Chelsea bias in his selections and he's a contrarian in the areas not taken up by Chelsea players/ex player.

Not impressed by him at all after seeing other top nations performing on a completely different level this week.

Another red flag is the picking of geriatrics Kyle Walker and Jordan fucking Henderson!

Dull. Dull. Dull.

Players look half arsed. Reverted to the proper dross of years ago.

Same old faces playing the same formation with the same tactics.
Just with a different dull bloke in charge.

No game changing mavericks either - that’s the worst & dullest part of it all. No one who creates genuine excitement when he gets the ball at feet…

…and even if we had that type of player - we’d soon put a stop to that flair & creativity…

Just once - in one of these pointless qualifiers against the likes of Andorra or Liechtenstein I’d love to see England just play like 2-3-5 and score 12 goals or something.

Agree

Reverted to type from the disasters before.

Picking players on class rather than form and the opposition they are playing against.

Class in permanent, form is temporary......very true if you are in a football league competition BUT Euros and World Cup are cup knockouts.......you dont have time to get players to hit form.

Probably take injured players on the plane too...

Saudi league is worse than Scotland FFS.....anybody who plays there has retired from International Football IMO unless its for a small country with a small selection pool.....England are not.

Put the former favourites out to grass... thats Walker gone (thanks fella).

Dont care if hes German or not, i just dont want the same mistakes made over and over again...
