There were two Swindon flags next to each other behind the goal. One was a genuine STFC flag but the other had a Liverpool badge on it. If you support Liverpool your flag should say Liverpool. No one gives a fuck where you live! It's quite widespread, you'll see a 'Norwich' flag but  they will actually be West Ham fans. Hate it...

The family are Swindon fans, they're also big Liverpool fans and attend pretty much every England game home and away.

Fair enough... I still find it mildly annoying as per the thread title...

It’s a blended family (with regards to being football supporters) one side of the family is all Swindon - other side is heavily Liverpool but they tend to do a lot of games (both Liverpool & Swindon) as well as all the England games.

Always seen them on TV.

Then they would be better off getting two flags in my opinion. Little things please me and I'll admit to getting a little kick out of spotting a Swindon flag at an England game but when I see it has a Liverpool badge (or it could be Chelsea or any other PL team...nothing against Liverpool specifically) it means nothing....some people from Swindon support a PL team...good for them. People need to make up their minds who they're representing in my opinion. It's not just Swindon, I know there would be countless other examples if I bothered to look, the previously mentioned Norwich flag with the West Ham badge on it being one such example)...

Remember a ‘Swindon Whites’ flag at the CG when we played Leeds.

Bet you weren’t keen on that, either!

They are the Swindon based Lids fans who used to meet every week in the Victoria pub in Old Town at the time. Some decent lads TBF.

Years ago there used to be a Man Utd supporters coach that picked up at Blunsdon.

I remember that as well. That didn't bother me. I just think that if you're taking a flag to an England game, it should represent your Club. People don't care that you're a West Ham fan but you live in Norwich. Just put West Ham on it and be done with it.

Maybe people do it to stand out to their family and friends more on TV?

Getting a new exhaust on a car these days isn’t easy. Years ago you used to drive straight in and they would have one in stock now you have to have it looked at and book an appointment to have the work done.
