Exactly, I used to hate it but then I saw the fun people get from it and its totally harmless, I have embraced it a little more now and watch and laugh at the utter ridiculousness of the songs and fans. I say keep it going.
Same. I also like to try and pick out a country that is huge odds that may make the top 4 for EW returns. My picks this year were Luxembourg, Norway, UK and Malta, all at prices north of 100/1. No luck this year. I was tempted with Estonia at 40/1 also but baulked. It's always completely ridiculous but as the years go on, I find myself enjoying it more. I was quite surprised at Israel nearly winning it. But at the same time pleased people are judging on the quality of the song, over anything else.

Israel will end up being successful in their aggressive (and probably underhand) voting tactics soon, and then Eurovision will be killed

OK, which one are you advocating? As the first bit contradicts the second. You should have been clearer.

The NHL thread reminded me of this, and has been touched on by a small discussion on here about how selfish people seem to have become these days.
My beef is when I've paid a not insignificant amount of money to go and see a band, and I've got a group of people stood next to me shouting over the music so they can have a conversation. Unfortunately I've got strange hearing where background noise is amplified which means I tend to be able to pick up fairly clearly what's being discussed.
Surely if you want to have a group catchup, just go to the pub and let people that want to enjoy the music do so, without having to battle with selfish arseholes. People have started to use their phones at the cinema more I've noticed as well. Just put the fucking thing away for a couple of hours!

Yeah, agree with loud chattering being an irritant at gigs. I know it's down to poor positioning on my part but the constant jostling if on the main route through to the bogs or the bar is also annoying. Then again, the buffeting is still preferable to being stood in front of somebody with short man syndrome which is why I prefer to lurk at the back or to the side these days.

I'm advocating the correct use of have instead of of. One shouldn't of, one should have. Shouldn't one?
