A right cold snap coming. Wonder how many old people that’ll kill off. Thanks, Labour - as long as the overseas aid to poor countries like India and China is still flowing.
Fuckers.
Oh yeah cos it's really their fault isn't it? People living in poverty elsewhere? Overseas aid is less than one percent of the average budget spend but don't let facts {that you clearly haven't checked} get in the way of it.
Maybe, just maybe if we didn't have loopholes for the super rich, where they didn't have to pay as much tax and we actually focussed on taxing them correctly {like our HMRC seems to be able to do so to every single small to medium business} we might be able to make conditions in the UK better for all.
Maybe if standing charges on utility/fuel bills were scrapped {this is actually coming into place soon but not quite a complete deduction} or at least reduced to something much lower that current c300 quid bill per household might ease the burden on many, and help keep the heating on longer.
Maybe if taxed levies were imposed onto the profits of the utilities companies maybe the burden would be less so onto the public's own fuel bill {not just OAPs but everyone}
You know, actually target taxation in the places where it matters and can make a direct impact. Rather than taking a misinformed potshot by blaming some very poor cunts thousands of miles away because they don't even have access to clean water, good education, banking, a permanent house, pathways or training to sustained employment, let alone the first world problem of turning a thermostat up or down.
There are many sticks you could have chosen but for some reason you chose overseas aid as the stick to poke with. I hope you realise that overseas aid is the lowest spent portion of our budget?
Here's a reminder though;
'However, people overestimate how much the UK spends on aid: last year's UK Public Expenditure Statistical Analyses show that overseas aid amounted to £5.1 billion — just about 74 pounds per person. As the chart shows, this is a tiny part of public spending, making up only 0.5% of the total budget.'

Never let facts get in the way of an ill opinion though.
