Mine arrived this morning, bloody Post Office just gets worse and worse.

Just had a message from my Dad, his arrived today.
Six Days to get there, looking at Google maps I could have walked down & delivered it quicker

Admin error, I blame Leggett and DV

*Bows deeply* You are most welcome!

PO and RM now different entities. More likely to be our fault, tbh. Nationwide network review went live on Monday to much hiliarity, deliveries have all been bumped back as a result.

Plus, despite what RM might say publicly we don’t deliver letters 7 days a week anymore.

Volume is too low and RM actually lose money on each letter + 99/100 no one gives a stuff if their letters are a few days late - in fact most probably don’t even notice.

There we were, mucking about in the pool when a movement catches my eye. A tiny nestling blue tit had obviously fallen from its nest and was hopping about. Mrs Audrey just had to get out, pick it up and then wonder what to do with it.

Obviously she decided to put it in a saucepan with tissues as a nest. Back to the pool and bugger me there’s another little birdy hopping about. Again, it gets picked up and put with its sibling in the saucepan.

What do you feed tiny blue tits? Ground is rock hard so no digging around for grubs etc.

Eventually decided to put them in a tree close to what we think is the nest they fell from.

Feeling rather pleased with ourselves until we saw the cat we had been feeding with a small bird in its mouth!

Shit happens!

I picked a good week to be on leave…

I've been down to Plymouth and back the past two days, long old drive at 56mph but nice to not be anywhere near the mail centre, ha!

When connecting to the WiFi in a Greene King pub none of the "why are you here" options make mention of actual drinking.

Just another symptom of the imminent collapse of civilisation.

But to counter that, it's good to see that the mildly annoy thread is still ahead of the feel good thread by about 700 pages over the course of 14 years or so.
Maybe there is still hope for us as a species yet.

I got a £100 parking fine from a recent visit to Liverpool. I paid for 2 days parking at a total cost of £40, but it appears when I was booking it I put the leaving time as 12:30 am rather than 12:30 pm (we left at 12:24pm).

I've appealed but are they likely to tell me to Foxtrot Oscar? I mean I paid for the full 2 days so a fine for what was a genuine mistake does seem harsh, with that said it will teach me to be careless.

So the 2 day fee would have covered you up to 12:24 pm anyway? Wow, that's harsh

No idea on chances of overturning. You can't be the only person this has happened to - isn't there anything out there online

If the fee didn't cover you, I can't see it being overturned

Yeah that's right Batch. I guess the penalty notice is automatically triggered. I'm hopeful as I paid the correct amount to cover the time we were there that they may go easy on me, we'll see.
