I would rather have a Beyond Burger than a real beef burger, there I said it.

They are lovely, but they should be at that price!

A good sausage is made by a local butcher. Using fresh quality meat and quality seasonings, preferably ones made with natural ingredients as opposed to man made flavours. If the sausage is uniform with no curvature or tapering at each end it has a collagen casing. Natural casings can be pigs or sheep.

Asda and Aldi own brand versions are half the price and just as good for me. Love them.

if it tastes better, then who wouldn't.

I tried one, thought it was ok but not as good as real (to me). But if it tastes as good I'd switch like that.

Would probably get used to it, that's probably half the problem. Much like when I gave up sugar in tea. Horrible at first, but now sugar in tea tastes vile.

I’ve noticed this despicable government has snuck through a law enabling them to gain bank details of anyone in receipt of state benefits - including the State Pension, which I wouldn’t call a benefit - it’s something that’s been paid into for donkey’s years.

Wondering what the reason could be. Future means testing? Nosing about to make sure everything is being declared?

It’s this sort of shitty behaviour that should consign them to the scrap heap forever.

So...good news - it's a plan (a very shit one) that isn't law yet. It's going through the process of being made into a law, which hopefully the house of lords will forcibly amend as it works its way through the process.

That's not how the state pension works though, there is no big contributions pot, you have been paying for the pensions of those older than you when you pay in, much as my generation will pay for yours as and when the time arrives.

Its another reason why the ageing population is such a massive problem in this country, and another reason why the country needs immigration, and one would assume why they are trying to get the means in place to means test it for my generation, albeit on present direction of travel I'm not sure we will ever be allowed to retire anyway.
