...with a big grin on his face and a 24 pack of bud that he’d managed to nick from the Tesco delivery truck as it had stopped at a store round the corner. My boss bought it off him for a fiver.

Which Norman then proceeded to spend in the pub on some bottles of bud  Cheesy Pint Pint

Would appear that there is a massive issue with air traffic control on the UK (or at least Bristol anyway) so the flight we are supposed to be catching back from Tenerife at 18:40 hasn’t even left the UK yet.

Even if it leaves now that’s probably a minimum of 6 hours till turnaround.
Just been dropped off at the airport. Gonna be a long day….

Be interesting to see how long before they admit defeat & get us out the airport to a hotel

Yeah, whatever the issue was has been sorted, now it just depends how long the catch up takes.

Looking at the Bristol Airport website - our plane is 7th in line departure wise (assuming they’ll try and catch up and not cancel all flights that have been missed)

So that’s gonna be at least an hour till it takes off. 4 hour journey. 1 hour turn around - so that’ll 10pm leaving here at best

As Quaggy has said "the problem has now been fixed" but disruption expected to last for quite a while.
