Mass exporting of unseasonal fruit and veg adds to Climate Change impacts, causing less suitable climatic conditions for growing, causes lack of supply and return to local sustainability. Sounds like a plan to me.

I think a lot depends on your tastes and what you do with it, we eat a lot of stews and home made soups (we're dull like that!) so the root veg options are pretty varied, plus with a lot of seasoning you can get a lot of taste into it and it bulks things out well. |

We've become a nation of fast food junkies. As you say there's plenty of veg that can be grown and during lockdown there was a surge in home growing but that seems to have disappeared. |
