One of my colleagues for some reason can't say EMEA. He always spells it out E-M-E-A. Bugs my tits.

How would you pronounce it, out of interest? I'd probably go with Emm-ee-yay, but can understand why someone would just say E-M-E-A for ease.
But congrats, that's up there with one of the most trivial complaints on here.

If it's an acronym, surely the correct way is to say each letter? I know that's what I'd go with.

I'd disagree. Some yes some no. Acronyms that would sound stupid if you said each letter. NATO NASA ROM RAM PIN NIC AWOL On the contrary, Acronyms that sound silly if you say them as one word. SUV OMG USSA USA It works both ways, but in this case, its EMEA rather than E-M-E-A.
