Where did you go?

Gotta say I've not really noticed many around Reading but I don't head in to the centre too much. It's a bloody expensive place to live and it's not getting cheaper any time soon

Sub89 on Friar Street.
On the way back to the station afterwards that whole area was heaving with clubbers.

cramp.

did a reasonable distance run last night. longest since October 2014 due to ongoing injuries. was sitting on the floor feeling happy with myself then my f'ing calf went into severe cramp for about an hour*

the Mrs trying to suppress a smile while trying to push my toes back was not helpful.

*it felt like it.

Litttle stones that flick up over the ankle support of walking boots and end up underneath your instep. Now it's 5 and a half inches from sole to top of support....what gravity defying forces are at work here when I put my foot down?

People complain about their "imperfect marriage".

Fuckwits, there is no such thing as a perfect marriage, everyone has their imperfections and marriage is no different. The issue seems to be that many people can't be arsed to work at it.

The funny thing is if it was properly looked into, I think they'd find a direct correlation between unhappiness and constant bragging posts on Facebook. If only the idiots getting jealous at the illusion could see that.

Until I got fed up with Facebook and wiped it I found it to mostly be people bragging about their life that no fucker will really give a shit about, indirect abuse of people they know will read it or others saying how sad they are-how bad things are-how ugly they look etc to then be told by their Facebook mates how wonderful they are. Other tossers commentating through it their entire day. Went to the shop, had a cup of tea etc. Wtf!

Think you're spot on, both the bragging and the envy being products of the same insecurity

FB is what you make it. Most of the stuff I see on my timeline is stuff I find interesting/amusing. If people post a lot of self-gratifying, attention seeking crap then I simply block them. It does have uses other than seeing what people had for breakfast this morning.

This is true until your cousin finds out you blocked them and then asks you why, in public, whilst showing you on his phone him logged into his mates account. Not that that's happened to anyone I know.
