This frenzy about a British bloke going into space... The Ruskies and US of A did it 50 years back its hardly ground breaking and just proves that in the bigger picture we are something of a parochial backwater.

My wife knows him

I've been wondering this myself. But I'm also wondering if it's maybe inspired by the popularity of Chris Hadfield and the hype is not just about a Brit going up, but also about more coverage of the ISIS than we've seen before.

I thought they were docking with the ISS, not landing in Syria.

Seriously, if he keeps up his social networking and is half as interesting as Chris Hadfield, I'll continue following the ginger spaceman.

Ha, I think that was a bit of a Freudian slip there as I've seen similar jokes made elsewhere.

Easily done. Be careful about jokes about the King's Dog though.

Probably checking to make sure they're ok......dangerous things escalators.

I thought it was only the terminally idle, infirm and obese who used escalators.

Spatial awareness seems to have died generally. The new thing up here seems to be to walk about 6" behind you but make no effort to walk round you!

Can't stand people walking right behind me, that's when I stand still. If they want to walk into 220lbs of me, that is up to them.

My job, the (other) useless fuckers employed by my employers and the general dragging of heels by others who may want to employ me.

 Cheesy

Well my language may have been somewhat disagreeable lately but I think we can probably all admit that "pleasantly plump" is not a suitable description for anything that weighs over 100 tonnes  Sad

He seems to be more fascinated the more and more nauseous I get though, I'm sure he's finding that more fun than the actual facts about extinct creatures  !
