Congratulations to SKY - I only wanted to upgrade to HD, not build the Forth Road Bridge - hopeless - used the chat facility - the person (Indian I fear) was totally incompetent and spent most of the time telling me to have a good Christmas and honour my parents - which was insensitive as we have recently had a bereavement !

They can stick their HD but life will go on happily without it - makes you wonder whether these companies actually care about customers - very strange

Scillyred, I'll no doubt be following your lead. Its time for me to try to re-negotiate discounts with BT and cancellation chicken with Sky. At least with broadband if BT don't play ball its easy enough to switch back to Sky.

I have friends who have taken since mid October & 15 hrs on the phone to get a simple upgrade - not sure why they bothered - I am much too grumpy and have little patience to bother with such things

BT have been alright, rang me out of the blue the other week to tell me I could upgrade to all the BT Sport/ESPN/Eurosport bollocks for a special offer package price that was cheaper than I was already paying - alright signs us up for another 18 months but had no intention of moving anyway.

I've just come off the phone to BT, told them I was leaving, they've reduced my package ( :gay:) by £10pm, and added BT Sport in HD (I already had it in SD). Plus they've put me on the Entertainment Max package which has a lot more premium channels..

Now, do I pay £22pm for Sky Sports 1&2 or not..
