Post-privatisation at work, we keep being given more and more checks to do when we're sorting outward mail. We now have to account for our productivity hour-by-hour, and then we get random spot checks each hour as well. This should be handled by the boss, but he's busy so he farms it out to us, which takes up some of our time thats normally spent on sorting. Which hurts productivity. Which leads to more checks as they wonder why productivity is down. It's fucking stupid. The post is a fluid thing. It's not the same amount day-to-day, but they're trying to plan like it is, and somewhere down the line its gonna bite us in the arse.

People, when they make a mistake, say:

'My bad'

Where did that come from?

Almost on a par with 'Do the math'

The sheer volume of people who make notes at work and use the word "myself" instead of "I", or a combination of the two.

It's fucking maths you dullards.

Although I am guilty of 'my bad'. I also say 'no worries' a hell of a lot, which I noticed recently.

I say my bad if something was my fault but I genuinely don't give a shit about it!

I've got no problem with working for a living, but there's nothing productive about reducing our productivity to produce an hourly report on our productivity. makes no sense.

Yes, that or taking the rap for something minor that means there's less hassle further down the line.

So do I.

I'm getting a bit worried that we seem to have rather a lot in common.
