Loads of trees still with leaves on at the moment. I'm sure in most years they would all be down by now.
Plenty of leaves all over my back garden no matter how often I sweep them up. I'm also mildly annoyed at being mildly annoyed by it as it confirms my ongoing descent into a Meldrew-esque old age

People who insist on leaving their backpacks on whilst standing on a heaving train.
If it's really packed it's sometimes difficult to find space to take it off. But I do agree.

More of a 'don't understand' thing, but there are deciduous trees around here, on Dec 4th, that are still in full leaf. And green. Is this normal? I don't think it is. Loads of trees still with leaves on at the moment. I'm sure in most years they would all be down by now.
I actually thought this last night on my walk to Waterloo station. How sad must we be Ardiles?

Yes I can see if the train is really busy then it can be difficult but doing it before getting on the train might be better?

Its been particularly bad though. There must be a road closure or something having a knock on effect.
The road through wichelstowe (peglars way off bassett road) is closed for a while it seems, so could be related, but doubt it because traffic seemed to be moving reasonably freely once past mannington. Cycled in this morning...absolute bliss being able to ride up through the middle of the traffic on tewkesbury way. It may have been hacking it down with rain, but the only grumble i had was getting the bike dirty after washing it at the weekend. Thought it was supposed to be dry all week! I genuinely think its people just being complete tools on the road blocking up the flow of the roundabout. Its probably a viscious circle, higher volume of traffic, slightly longer queues, so people try and force themselves onto the roundabout to beat the lights, blocking lanes, so the queues and waiting time gets longer for those behind, so theyre in even more of a rush by the time the get to the roundabout. Idiots.

I assume you have also started to wash the car on Sunday mornings and get most vexed about the age of policemen these days!

Its blindingly obvious how heaving a train is before you get on so take the bloody bag off. Also irritates me when people standing perch a buttock on your shoulder!

Indeed. I've taken to waving the stem of my pipe at the young whippersnappers to emphasise the point!

I think it is normal...deciduous trees change colour in autumn, because they are undertaking a process whereby the energy created by chlorophyll production in the summer is broken down into chemicals which can be reabsorbed back into the trees vascular system. some of these chemicals are similar to carotene found in carrots, hence the colour. We had a good summer, therefore more breaking down to do....the trigger for the start of the process is fall in temperature and reduction of light. You'd only really need to be worried if the process hadn't started.

People who wear wrist watches 'upside down' i.e. with the face on the underside of their wrist.
Twats.
