Depressing for sure. Sir Herman Ouseley has done a lot of good work, but I think he's in danger of damaging a lot of that by making an issue of this. Let it go, for God's sake. No story here.

I think the offence is that in the joke is that judging by complexity of the task (and their pioneering role in space exploration) he is clearly talking about an ape - probably a chimpanzee - not a lowly monkey. Disgraceful. |
