Has Jason Roberts put his two pennies in yet? He's normally one of the first to speak on any race issues.

Not that this is a race issue. It's not even an issue. Fucking farce is what it is!

Maybe I'm racist. I can't see that Hodgson has done anything wrong here. Is there anyone out there who thinks he's done something wrong? The world has gone mad.

Yeah he's used a shit joke to deliver a tactical message.

This is the joke, apparently:

Quote from:  @DailyMirror
“NASA decided they’d finally send a man up in a capsule after sending only monkeys in the earlier missions,” the joke goes.

“They fire the man and the monkey into space.

“The intercom crackles, 'Monkey, fire the retros.'

“A little later, 'Monkey, check the solid fuel supply.'

“Later still, “Monkey, check the life support systems for the man.'

“The astronaut takes umbrage and radioes NASA, 'When do I get to do something?'

“NASA replies, 'In 15 minutes - feed the monkey.'”

Reckon you'd need a whole bag of chips on your shoulder to find that racist.

has the institute of Black Lawyers stuck their twopenneth in yet?

Depressing for sure.  Sir Herman Ouseley has done a lot of good work, but I think he's in danger of damaging a lot of that by making an issue of this.  Let it go, for God's sake.  No story here.

Sir Oswald Moseley was better...

I guess if you're overhearing from the other side of the room and all you see is RH talking to Smalling and saying "feed the monkey" pointing at Townsend, it is going to look a bit iffy.

Unfortunate choice of phrasing, but no more than that.

I don't even think its an unfortunate choice of phrasing. I wonder if Lenny Henry will pipe up.

Back in England and I now commute from Battersea to London which involves getting on a very busy train to Waterloo.

I noticed this morning a woman got on and squeezed herself onto the train. She was wearing a 'baby on board' badge with a London underground sign. I'm sure there is probably a rational explanation, but from my experience this week, getting a seat on any train in Central London at 8.25am is going to be nigh on impossible love, so you may as well get a cab if you want to sit down!

Chain coffee shops.  I drink black coffee.  This is a thing.  It exists.  Don't force me to ask for an Americano.  And really, don't ask me if I want milk in my black coffee.
