Night terrors. I've suffered with them sporadically for about 10 years, but never as badly as over the last month or so. I've had 3 episodes since drifting off to sleep about an hour ago and now am filled with dread at falling asleep again. Vicious circle, because I'll be knackered tomorrow because of yet another rubbish night's sleep.

 Absolutely horrible isn't it? They are normally triggered by stress, but I don't honestly feel there's been a trigger this time. I've been prescribed some tablets by the doctor to help me get into a deeper sleep, because they only occur in the early stage of sleep, but she told me not to take them unless I really have to, because you can get dependant on them. I've also got to see a counsellor about them in a couple of weeks.
