They'll do that until they get old and then they'll be stuck to your side for a day or two afterwards
Our other two have been fussing around us all day, even our 13 year old female who we rarely see when the kids are about. Funny things cats.

The attitude of some office-y type people to those in the 'service' industries... most of my firms are no trouble at all (including one of a fellow tef-er!) and they'll have a little chat, or at least a hello and goodbye, but a couple are populated by stuck up office twats who won't even hold a door open as I follow them through with arms full of their mail. Utter bastards. It's not fucking difficult to offer a hello and goodbye, and at least treat me like a human.
Cunts!
I completely agree that basic rudeness is very, very annoying, but I would wager that there is no more of it from "office types" than there is in people in general. I may be wrong, but your experience of it probably comes from being the unknown "other" in that situation. People are more rude to the "other" than they are to people like them. It human nature - just the ugly side of it. And yes - I do work in an office. Wearing a suit. In a swivel chair. And I slam the door in the face of any "post-y" type cunts...

My cat is 20 and hates being left alone, although will only welcome your return for a little while. My wife's cat is about 15 and if she's been left out for a couple of days, she will not stop following you around for days...and then ignores you entirely

Baggins - hardly an 'unknown' when I collect the mail every day from the same places at the same time... its just common decency.

Fair enough and I still agree with you - it is rude and a matter of common decency. You are still "other" though. I still think humans are, much more than we would care to believe, pack animals. You are not one of them, therefore get different treatment. It is, essentially, easier to be rude to, and not realise you are being rude to, people who are different from you in any situation.

20 is good going for a cat, is it still quite active? Our male is 12 and he's like a ploddy old man, although can find a burst of energy/speed when required

He's a bit slow and senile but no health problems at all. Still gets the odd burst of energy and tears around the house like a kitten but mostly just sleeps. Aside from being thinner and a bit less well groomed he hasn't changed much in the last ten years.

Doesn't sound much different to Marmite. He doesn't groom himself as well as he used to. I think he's got a touch of arthritis. He's always been a fluffy cat with a fairly bushy tail, but a few months ago his tail completely thinned out. It literally happened overnight and was quite odd. The vet said it was age.

1. Why we never seem to sell players for as much as we think they are worth. 2. Why players who we think would attract 'huge' sell on fees don't.
