You expect that nowadays at kids football, but a trip to the zoo? What on earth was the argument about?
A parent taking exception at being asked by another parent to stop their kid hitting them on the head with a plastic dinosaur. And a highly strung father who went very OTT when wife told him what had happened (the father of the kid doing the hitting). Probably shouldn't put much more specifics on here. Thankfully it didn't fully kick off fully but I think the police were called as a precaution when it looked like it would.

Oh dear It does lead me however to something which I don't understand and annoys me - parents who don't tell their children off , particularly when they're hurting others. Then if somebody else tells said child off, the parent suddenly get involved but doesn't seem to think the child is in the wrong. I've always reprimanded my two if they're being naughty, but if I miss something I've got no problem with someone else telling them to stop.

Agree Jo,but the problem is that we are all different on how we see BEING NAUGHTY...if i saw my child whacking someone over the head hard with a toy etc i would be sure to tell them that they should not be doing this. Trouble is some people will not see it the same way, they may see it as just playing or kids stuff...and the trouble begins.

I've been on two school outings recently (Big pit and Thorpe Park yesterday) where colleagues have had to tell kids off that were not our students because they were being too loud, or like yesterday, turning round and hitting each other on a ride. Parents were there just watching it happen!

I had to do it at the Wiltshire school sports games! Kids from a secondary school stood effing & blinding in front of my primary school group!
