Why on earth would you 'report' it to the Adver?

Do you want to read shit like that in your local paper? If not, why would anyone else!

Isn't that what local papers are for though?

'Local man dies of Natural Causes'

'Cat climbs tree'

'Local woman discovers dog'

Because there is no excuse for it. There is no need for a police vehicle to park there.

The coppers should be comended if anything.

Parent and child spaces, fucking joke. No wonder there are so many little porkers in this country, they don't even have to walk far to get into Tescos for their dose of Haribo.  Plenty of room if parked properly in a regular space to get all the sprog's stuff out of the motor as well.

There speaks someone who hasn't tried to get a child seat out the back of a car in a normal parking space,  nigh on Fucking impossible, normal option to drop wife before go into space then park right over!

The police car parked in a parent and child bay yesterday during the day when there were plenty of spaces. I've reported it to the adver and wilts police. Probably won't reply.

Sippo...police cars can park where they want,,,,it is a perk of the job.....in a disabled bay is pushing it i reckon but Parent and Childrens bay....not for me....let it be.

If it was a normal car then yes by all means report it....but i am afraid the police can park where they want, when they want.

How did parents cope before these spaces?

The spaces were introduced by a supermarket (think it was Sainsburys) purely as a ploy to attract mothers to their stores, family friendly etc. Notice how they are always right near the store entrance, partly practical reasons yes but they could easily be in another area of the car park, that wouldn't be as appealing though.

I worked in Tesco head office for a year, this is one of the tricks of the trade the industry introduced.

They may have been responding to an incident - that would have been a reasonable enough excuse.

Maybe, but it was seen at greenbridge. There were plenty of free spaces. It can't be one rule for one and one for another.

If there are plenty of free spaces for the mums to park in anyway then why is it such a problem?

It's not a problem. The point I'm trying to make is that are selfish bastards who think they can just get away with it. You even see them parked in disabled spaces.

I'm with Sippo on this one. The ritual abuse of disabled bays more than pisses me off.....

It wasn't a disabled bay though.

In all honesty I wouldn't have cared if they were on the far side of the car park. When the nippers where young it was a real help having extra space for the trolley/push chair while loading/unloading the car with children.

Of course you can cope without them, don't think anyone would disagree.
