Perhaps these armchair big prem club fans put these flags out at home because they don't actually get to put them out at actual matches. It used to annoy me with the amount of "big club" shirts you see but it makes me laugh now. I think it comes down to people needing to feel part of something strong, successful and recognised. People want success, or to be associated with it, hence why people from Somerset support Liverpool over Yeovil.

Some of the tennis players at wimbledon blaming the grass for them losing, man the fuck up and play less shit, you probably wouldn't lose. No football tomorrow either is annoying.
