Driving home from work yesterday, the woman driving in the car behind me had a notepad resting on the steering wheel and pen in her hand apparently writing whilst driving.

Some people are idiots.

That, seemingly surfing the web, reading a book, seen all this on just my commute from J16 to J17 over the years.

A mate of mine was driving up the M4 towards London a few years ago when he spotted a family who had broken down. They were playing badminton on the hard shoulder.  Suicide

I saw a bloke doing that on the M25 the other week. Madness.

If you really really need to note/remember something, surely opening a voice recording app on your phone is a considerably less dangerous way of doing it than actually writing whilst driving. Mental.

The chap I saw wasn't making a note, we followed for a good few miles and he was writing the whole time.

Mid summer.  Right now, there are millions of kids thinking 'What's this?!  You're trying to get me to sleep and we both know it isn't getting dark for another couple of hours.  Madness.'  Two of them are upstairs.  It's a pain in the arse.

How the Norwegians manage, I'll never know.  The best black out blinds that money will buy and sedatives, maybe.

With you on that Ardiles, our 2 can never get their heads around going to bed when it's still warm and sunny. It's worst of all when it's really hot like yesterday...

Get them up a bit earlier and put to bed a little later, they'll be shattered. Black out blinds really work, as do night lights - they hide the light coming in through the gaps aroound the curtains.

will try the black out blinds bewster

the buggers are up at 5.15/5.30 every morning all year round. the saving grace has always been that they normally get to bed at a reasonable hour.

Fucking ill again. I've only just recovered from one illness and now, courtesy of my daughter, I'm sick again.

One is not amused.
