I caught some highlights of a Serie A game on ESPN yesterday. When a goal was scored, there was a defender standing on the goal line appealing for offside to the linesman (and no, the keeper wasnt out of his goal, he was there too). Do players not know the rules ?

We know they don't...commentators and ex-players, too. How many times do you hear an ex-player say something along the lines of 'if hits the players arm in the penalty area, then it has to be a penalty.' Or something about contact meaning it must be a foul, or is a good enough reason for a player to fall over. The rules are quite easily accessible.

The bloody fire won't light, and it's freezing in my house. Normally it lights first time every time for me, but it just doesn't want to go today. Re-laid it four times, there's a nice firedog in there, everything is as it should be, but it just doesn't want to go.
Bloody thing. Doesn't help the only paper in the house is bloody women's magazines. Cosmo is not only full of, but goes up just as well as, dogshit.

The problem is, that no one adheres to the rules 100% thats why no one really know what most of the rules are, if the refs and governing bodies actually stuck to the rules and not bend half of them, people would have a much better understanding of them

I usually find a well placed elbow to the ribs or a subtle kick in the leg makes them stop.

2 work winges... Point 1 - dog piss on post boxes. Or more to the point, people that let their dogs piss all over the door of the boxes. Its fucking rank, and ends up all over the mail sacks or my hands.
Point 2 - the stupid cunt who keeps posting parcels in the metered mail box on westmead industrial estate. Too fucking lazy to go to a post office, and the parcels are always underpaid. Always going to Brazil, and always get sent back to him/her as just sticking a bunch of 1p stamps on a parcel ain't gonna cover the cost. Stupid lazy cunt.
Love winding you up

Had a prospective generator supplier in to introduce himself today.
Failed to bring anything edible.
Does the man know nothing about sales repping?

Haha, what?
You honestly expect a potential new supplier, on his first visit, to come in and introduce himself "Hi, i'm Bob from Bodgett & Scarper, here's a packet of hobnobs!".

I've never encountered a traveling sales rep who brings food. Free pens and stuff, yes. Food, no.
Bit different if it's you going to the rep or trade event though, then food becomes a must.

You should work in healthcare, reps bring us an entire buffet in exchange for 5 minutes to plug their pill / ointment / whatever the fuck at the beginning of one of our clinical governance meetings.
