Got distracted last night and rolled the rear end of my car into the side of my neighbour's. Pissed off with myself.
I was going to make sure January was a quiet one in terms of boozing, looks like that may extend until the end of February.
On the plus side, it only nobbled one of their doors. My car is unscathed, mainly because it's the indestructible spoiler which did the damage.
Last week I managed to drive over a boulder on one of the grass areas at Hawksworth when I went to the Post Office. There was nowhere to park and I got impatient waiting for some silly bint to come out of the ATB car park. I over steered onto the grass and in the dark just didn't see it. My car was totally stuck and was eventually freed by 2 chaps from Ford Accident Repair, 3 postmen and 2 heavy duty jacks. There's a bit of damage to the underneath casing, but I was more embarassed than anything. I felt a little better when Ford told me I was the third person who'd done it that week!

They were probably just being nice to you. You've got to go some to beat my wife who drove the car into the house. I think she wanted an integral garage.

I once drove my car of a kerb. This left my FWD motor completely stranded as even if I was willing to scrape the underneath of the chassis along the ground, the front wheels were not in contact with the road anyway. Of course, I had no idea there was a kerb there. It just was not visible from the lighting and the exit sign from the car park I was in suggested I was going the right way. Whether it was my fault or not, this happened late on the other side of the road to a beer garden full of boozers who could see the whole thing. Loads of them piled over to help me out while giggling their tits off. Fook me was it was embarrassing.

Amazon tracking saying my parcels were delivered at 14:30 by HDNL (Yodel, by their old name I believe). Well I'm home and haven't been anywhere, yet I have nothing. Wankers.

Devliveries are a nightmare nowadays. Speaking as someone who's at home all the time, our postman doesn't even bother bringing the parcels into our building, just sticks a red slip through everyone's door and makes them traipse to the delivery centre. Full-on package delivery companies are fucking useless too. Yodel being the worst of a bad bunch- I once opened the door as I was going out on a bloke who was trying to stick a 'sorry we missed you!' thing through the door. He hadn't bothered to knock on the door/ring the bell, and he didn't stop when he saw me. I asked him if he had my pacakge, and he gave me a filthy look and said 'no, course not, why else do you think I'd be filling out this form?' Apologies, but I didn't realise the job of a delivery company was to deliver things. I must have got confused somewhere...

In the interest of fairness, a parcel was delivered at about 16:30. Although it was one item, not the 2 items Amazon had listed as one package - but that's another matter and likely Amazon's fault.

We used to use Yodel to send our deliveries out from where I work. We switched to DPD, who seem significantly better. The best of a bad bunch if you like. Yodel caused us so much hassle it was unreal.

The queens honour list.
You are a professional athlete- it is your job. It's your aim to win. Why have so many Olympians got an 'honour'?

People get honours for achievements like:
making a difference to their community or field of work enhancing Britain’s reputation long-term voluntary service innovation and entrepreneurship changing things, with an emphasis on achievement improving life for people less able to help themselves displaying moral courage and vision in making and delivering tough choices

Rather them receive them than any politician/politician's wife (Cherie Blair)

Winning Olympic gold and winning the tour de france is hardly a 'willy-nilly' achievement'.
