Football managers are all hypocrites,it goes with the job and Fergie just does what the others do. He gets stick and is disliked because he is the top man. He is fantastic at his job and is without doubt the best manager there has ever been. The Ashley Williams thing the other day he was almost right about(apart from the dying bit) He deffo did that on purpose. Wheeling out his ex managers in his support aint gonna change that. The mind games,hairdryer,sulks and ref arguements makes Ferguson part of what he is. Will be a massive loss to football when he retires.

I agree. Maybe in the earlier days of his Man Utd days I would say that it would be a loss to British football, simply because he helped bring through some national talent. But he's gone the way of every other top manager in the Premier League and bought in players at considerable cost now. Very little talent comes through the ranks at Man Utd now. Definitely the best Premier League manager ever and will be remembered for that, but will anyone really give a shit when he packs it in? |

I don't see Mancini getting much stick either, nor Pep. Yet they are at the very top. There's many managers out there that are right at the very top level yet they don't get the same stick as SAF does.
On the same point, the likes of Steve Evans, Graham Westley and dare I say PDC get a lot of stick but they are not at the top.
The dislike of SAF Has nothing to do with him 'being at the top'. The dislike of SAF has everything to do with him coming across as an unlikable person.

Is that true? I appreciate that very little of the Utd first team has come through the ranks of late, but plenty ex-Utd academy players play for other league clubs so it's not quite as bad as some may make out. |

They ought to produce some players capable of league standard with their wealth, facilities and ability to pinch the best youngsters. Something's going badly wrong if not. On the other note I respect Fergie for his achievements but not always the way he acts. Some obviously disagree but he is a bit of a twat. |

Got distracted last night and rolled the rear end of my car into the side of my neighbour's. Pissed off with myself.
I was going to make sure January was a quiet one in terms of boozing, looks like that may extend until the end of February.
On the plus side, it only nobbled one of their doors. My car is unscathed, mainly because it's the indestructible spoiler which did the damage.
