Senile, no, twat, no, old, yes. The bloke is by far the best manager of my life time. A fantastic footballing man, who when he does retire will be sorely missed. Great bloke.
And the fact he's put Liverpool well and truly back in their place is an brilliant achievement.
I will admit he's built himself a nice little empire and Trophy Cabinet at Man U. However, he is most categorically a twat, who gets away with blue murder on a regular basis. For some unknown reason, the man 'is' the Premier League, and therefore every commentator, referee, and official associated with the game has this worshipful nature towards him and his opinions. I'd like to see another manager refuse to speak to the BBC for how many years and keep his job. I'd like to see another manager try and get away with the blatant and vicious lies and misdirection he gets away with. He's the one who's dragged top-level football into the mire where players shout at the referee whenever they don't agree with him. He's the one who's made it so every single time someone shoots inside the box from less than a yard at a defenders hand placed across his body to protect his 'nads or face, it's a penalty. His moaning has changed the way referees do their job more than anyone else in my opinion. He also hates international football, and is therefore a miserable old jock cunt, jealous of the fact his country's a footballing shithole. Also FUCKING CHEWING GUM ALL THE TIME LIKE A BLOODY HEIFER. His call for Ashley Williams to be banned for an accident that happens up and down the country all the time smacks of hipocrisy too, seeing as how long Roy Keane played under him and tried to kill people on a regular basis.
He hasn't done ANYTHING
for football. He's used Football to get stuff for himself.
I think Liverpool being put in their place has less and less to do with Man U and more and more to do with players who are there for the paycheck, as opposed to love for the team and the city (Stevie G excepted, but he's getting towards the end of his life now), and a succession of managers who expect too much. Brendan Rodgers is changing the second, but the first will take a while.
