Cheers for the support Flash i will remember that win when it is your round next, judging on your current rate of getting a round it should be about 2015.

Flash is so tight that he will probably try charging the bookies interest for holding on to his money.

Fernando Torres: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18139581What did he expect? The choice between starting him or Drogba in the final must have been an absolute no-brainer. He (kind of) acknowledges that he has played dogshite for a while, but still expects to start games. I'd be tempted to tell him to do one, but they'd never be able to recoup the fee.

Badly treated?! No, Fernando. Chelsea FC pays you an annual salary of between £9.1 million and £10.4 million (depending on whose figures you believe) for playing sport. Prick.
(Sorry, but I really have it in for idiot footballers at the moment.)

He's clearly trying to force his way out. He's got his Champions League medal now he can go.

This doesn't mildly annoy me, it makes me fucking rage. Having an annual statement from Lloyds TSB, on a savings account, that originally paid around 3% is now paying me, after tax, about 0.4%! \ / At those rates, putting money under a mattress feels good, simply on principle.

At least you haven't got their Flexible Savings account. That pays 0.08% net.

They all do it. Offer you 3%+ to hook you in and then drop it after 12 months.
If you want a top rate you'd have to move your money every year to chase the best one.

I've only just started doing this...but you really have to look at all of your savings accounts etc (if you're lucky enough to have any) every 12 months or so now. With inflation where it is, interest at 0.08% is effectively a monthly bank charge (or theft...depending on how irritated you're feeling). But because it's invisible, people who would baulk at paying a £10/month or £20/month fee are effectively doing just that by handing the bank the interest that should really be theirs. The banks are relying on people that fail to act for their profits. Those bank customers that do nothing are effectively subsidising those that act.

I wasn't aware if this shitty practice until now. I'm so fucking angry I've decided that moving every year is the action I'll take. Cashing in on indolence is the new trend it seems.

If you have any cash ISAs, the same applies. A lot of deals end after 18 months or so when the 'bonus' is withdrawn. Infact, I have just moved cash from an existing Nationwide cash ISA to another Nationwide cash ISA to avoid getting stung. The fact that Nationwide don't do this automatically proves the point that they are looking to cash in on inaction.
