Injuries.
I went for the ball and ended up hitting my ankle into the other persons studs. Now I've got a fat ankle that looks like it has a tennis ball under the skin.
Brilliant.

With you on that one. Was running about 3 weeks ago and did something pretty minor to my knee, not sure what. Still not got it working properly, which is a pain when trying to get fit!

So annoying because it was minimal contact and it wasnt like he even fouled me or I could blame him for it.
Was in pain last night and could even put any weight on it. Much better today thankfully - I can actually walk!

I snapped my achilles playing football when I was literally jogging nowhere near another soul. All of a sudden there was a snap, like a twig being trodden on in a forest and down I went, quicker than a hooker's knickers.

I broke my ankle and did the ligaments in about 2 years back and have had problems ever since. Any time I do some sort of exercise it swells up.

I broke my ankle and did the ligaments in about 2 years back and have had problems ever since. Any time I do some sort of exercise it swells up. I tore my ankle ligaments 10 years ago and still get problems now. I have reduced mobility in my ankle, as if the ligament has tightened, but oddly it's also very easy for me to roll that ankle again if I'm not careful. I don't get swelling as such, but do get a dull ache after exercise. Doc's were crap at the time and told me to just rest up, never had any scans to determine the extent of the injury or any physio. I'm pretty sure the weakness in my ankle has had a big effect on my getting shin splints too. So, yeah, in summary I feel your pain but there's not much you can do about it except take up low impact sports like cycling or swimming.

I did my knee in about about 25 years ago playing semi pro and after 6 patch up and clean out ops I'm having a full replacement in November. Being in my forties still and fairly active I'm told the knee will probably not last more than 8 to 10 years which is the down side. I still Ref the odd kids game but suffer for it afterwards. It's been a case of adapting to different ways of keeping fit like swimming and long walks.

Big stores like B and Q who build these Sky Blue monster buildings to blend in with the horizon to keep the planners happy....and fair play it looks good....for a while untill all the hype is over and then the 200 feet long DHL signs are banged onto it along with the bright orange Band Q logo.
It is a trivial thing i know but it does annoy me.
