If it's anything like the picture, I'd sincerely hope they'd keep it behind closed doors.

My bathroom light does the same. It's ok again if you turn it off then back on.
Annoying when you're having a shit and it starts up like a 90s rave.

Can anyone who commutes on public transport in London tell me whether the following happens everywhere or if it's an Oslo thing?
People standing in the gangway of train carriages when there are seats available in the carriages...however, the seats are usually only half full (i.e. two place benches are occupied by one person or three place benches are occupied by two people with a spare seat in between) so people seem to choose to stand in the entrance/exit instead.
Personal contact is nothing to apologise for. I apologised to someone on the train last week for knocking into them and pretty much everyone looked at me like I was insane for being polite - this is definitely partially a Norwegian thing but not sure if it applies to public transport the world over...
At stops people crowd the doors trying to get on the train, totally oblivious to the fact they won't manage to fit on if they don't let people off first. This common sense isn't so common here. I had an argument with my wife that people in the UK are excellent at queueing so the common sense rule is strictly adhered to.

I've noticed that people tend to crowd around the doors when the train pulls up, I think they must be scared that the train will go without them. They also around the doors and vestibule areas even there are seats avaliable but they only seem to go one stop. I only commute to Bath from Swindon every day, so I can imagine it's the same in London.

But you can't get on the fucking train if it's full of people trying to get off it! I only travel one stop as well but it's a busy train as it stops at Oslo sentralstasjon and everyone disembarks there, the train vomiting up a melancholic collective of commuters. Fortunately, I finish at 12pm so I don't have rush hour twice a day. 4D - a diet of bread, cheese, coffee and cigarettes means my farts pretty much destroy everything within a half mile radius.
