The security aspect comes under Trust, surely?  In the modern age there is little that a company cannot do to ensure security if it wants to, to support remote working.
There are certain roles that are mandated to be on-site due to network security and internet segregation.

In some clarification buildings you have to do things like lock your mobile into a locker for the duration you are on-site.

it is a trust thing in a way I suppose

people who clap when the airplane lands. What is wrong with them, can we stop them from traveling?

Dont understand it.

Same with people who pay extra to sit on a plane before everyone else

Think this came with the budget airlines, where you don’t have to check in luggage.
When the overhead luggage racks get full they take your bags & get them put in the luggage hold so people used to queue up for ages before boarding to ensure they’d get their bags in the cabin.

Budget airlines see an opportunity to make some extra cash for priority boarding.

Does that still happen? I've flown quite a lot of times and I think I've only heard it about 3 times, and the last time was years ago.

We generally will do it. I really hate people that faff around and the airport/airplane is the peak place for faffing John and Mary. Get on the plane first, chuck the big luggage up into the empty overhead racks, put the smaller stuff down below my feet and sit back and relax.

I prefer to get on a plane at the last moment. Saves waiting for ages, and have a sweaty oaf leaning over you whilst trying to put a bag the size of a large suitcase into the locker above you.

yup, just been to Tenerife on a cheap last minute Jet2 holiday and there must have been about 10 people that did it on the way out, only a couple on the way back.

on another note was very impressed with Jet2. Don't do package holidays generally but this was too good a deal to ignore.

very smooth

Get on plane last ALWAYS.

When you board, scan the seats and if you see an empty row go and sit in it. As long as your sat down and seatbelt done up stewardesses don't give a shit where you sit within the same class. I always end up with an empty seat next to me by getting on last

This works 90% of the time. I've only been moved on half full flights where the crew are worried about equal weight distribution.

oh sorry, we are back as of last night.

we stayed in Los Cristianos (klayman olivina apartments) on the matador strip. Was ok for the money.

Think I'd pay a bit more for Costa Adeje and aircon next time but waiting to start new job (security clearance needs to transfer) so not spending loads at the moment

Just saw some lad walking round by the moonrakers in an Oxford training top.

Brave or stupid?
