It's also obvious that Capello thought it impacted the team as he sacked Terry.

Then fine, if that was the manager's decision ('sacked' as captain I assume you mean). But that could have happened in the background without all of this posturing and moral handwringing by you and the oh-so-tedious main stream media.

Anyway, fuck that - do you prefer smoked or plain bacon?

I think a vital part of this debate that has been missed is that Wayne Bridge is shit and shouldnt be in the england squad anyway. problem solved.

Rather have a bloke who cheats on his wife than a bloke who cheats on a drug test!

Who is the better example to kids?

I suppose thats Terry and Ferdinand guaranteed starting berths in every WC game now then. Which is a shame.

really? we're not exactly blessed inthe centre back department currently. Ferdinand and Terry are miles ahead of any other candidates in my view.

King - good but a cripple
Woodgate - see above
Lescott - shite since his move
Cahill - inexperienced and not likley to play again this season
Upson - meh
Carragher - having a shit season and cant be arsed with it anyway
Dawson - playing well but likley to drop back into medicority soon. not even sure of a 1st team place at spurs if everyone where fit
We Brown - no thanks

Going from the newspaper reports there was more to it that just shagging Bridge's ex. They reckoned Bridge and Terry were best mates and that Terry helped him during the prolonged break up. Unknown to Bridge, at the same time Terry was shagging his ex as well.

Not against the law, nothing to do with you or me but Bridge wasn't impressed by it which could create issues within the England camp. The captain should be keeping the peace, not kicking shit off.

A few years earlier, Bridge was cheating on his then girlfriend with the French bird. He's not the innocent party some of the papers are making him out to be.

Someone who cheats on his wife, cheats on his drug tests and cheats at cards.

A new twist on this. Heard in the pub via a friend who has friends that are "sports agents" - so probably bollocks, but I'll repeat it anyway.

The Terry shagging Bridge's ex story is smoke and mirrors to hide the fact that Terry :

a - has a massive gambling problem and has to remortgage his house
b - owes Chelsea over 2mil cos of said gambling problem
c - was caught shagging a 15 year old girl

Apparently it's going to be kept out of the press 'til after the World Cup...

Like I said, more than likely bollocks but then that is the TEF motto!

Not surprised by this. The tabs often keep the good stuff in reserve.

It's like the Ashley Cole thing. They let the first set of phone photos out to trap him into saying it was a one-off because he'd "given the phone away" and then splashed the second set to make him look like an even bigger tool.

I thought Ferdinand had a very poor game last night. His defensive heading was very poor and put ManU back in trouble half the time.
Only Rooney (and Scholes) looked any good out of the England players. Carrick, Beckham and Ferdinand werer all poor.

Capello was there - we saw him being interviewed in the underground car park before the game. He must have been a bit disappointed in the whole performance.
