With a lot of threads recently discussing food, has anyone lost or been trying to lose weight recently?

I think i've put on about half a stone recently as i've been eating a bit shit, so have, after tonights curry, decided i'll be eating healthy and back in the gym until Chrimbo. I lost about 6 stone a few years ago. Actually 10 years go now, seems like yesterday!

I kept it off, i had to change permanently. I ate too much and drank too much, then one day woke up and looked down at my gut, while laying on my back, and was sickened by the sight of my stomach being so much higher than my chest and especially my cock. 40" jeans were tight! I hadn't weighed myself for a good year and last time i did i was 17 stone. So could've been any weight to be honest. I just lived off tins of spaghetti (300cals a can) Noodles (under 400 cals a packet), ate shredded wheat for breakfast, drank a lot of water and stopped eating all rubbish and got off the beer totally for 6 months then didn't touch beer again for years (only drank spirits and diet mixer). I pretty much lost it all in about a year. My weight fluctuates, as i still enjoy the odd chocolate binge, curry or beer binge, but never by more than half a stone above my favoured weight, which is a few pounds under 12 stone.

I'd lose lots of weight if I had an infinite supply of cigarettes.

I've lost 30lb by cutting out the unnecessary eating that I used to do, along with getting back into weight training (hooked by this again ). It makes getting to my seat at the back of the DRS so much easier

Yeah, that's the trick. If you stop eating shit and picking, and when you do eat don't eat crap, it's a piece of piss. Especially if you exercise as well. I fucking hate exercise though.
Like Ben says though smoking is the answer, speaking of which i'm fucking knackered and have gotta be up early, so i best have a fag then hit the pit.

I lost 2 stone last year over a couple of months or so. I stopped eating shit and went to the gym every day.
The key is stopping eating shit. You just need to be strong in the supermarket and not buy anything bad, then it isn't at home for you to eat. Though you wouldn't believe the number of times I've ransacked my kitchen trying to find a chocolate bar hidden away, even though I know there isn't any.
Need to start all over again as I've put the weight back on again and I'm fat as fuck.

This is the water. And this is the well. Drink full and descend. The horse is the white of the eyes and dark within.

Don't sue me, I haven't got any money! I've lost a stone in 6 weeks by just cutting down on what I was eating and by laying off the cider.

I smoked my last cig in April and I have piled in the weight since.
At 35 having a belly is a new thing to me and the novelty hasn't worn off though, I am starting to think about exercise though.

I've lost a bit of weight since I moved back out of my parents house just over a month ago. My mum has been indulging my poor eating habits for years and when it comes to food, I don't have much self control. Now I'm back to doing my own shopping, I can't afford to buy as much as my mum did so I've cut down a bit. If I could stop stealing pick'n'mix at work though I'd be set. Oh, and I'm down nearer to 12 than 13 stone now.
