I'm quite happy being fat, I think it's how I'm naturally meant to be, and I'm comfortable with it!

I gave up smoking 3 years ago, (still on the nicotone gum though) & put on 2 stone. I've now back to the weight I was before I packed in the cigs, by eating sensibly.

I lost a stone recently, as others have said I did this by stopping eating rubbish. I have also given up drinking completely and I don't miss it one bit. Next up, cigarettes to go. I've not had one since sunday.

I miss cigarettes Sad

it's harder when you're over 50 and if you can't exercise - but less shit in and a bit more walking is the answer. I work on losing a pound per week - should get rid of the 3 1/2 stone by Gold Cup day in 2011 - or maybe not

So I'm celebrating with some Brie, Danish Blue and red wine

Have you been trying to lose weight? If so, how much have you lost?

I was properly trying for the first 6 weeks or so and just been careful since then. Let myself go a bit in the last week with a works Xmas do and other stuff, but still somehow managed another 2lb this week Smiley A stone and a bit in total now with no exercise what-so-ever.

I used to work with a Yorkshire lass who called mixing a mouthful of drink and food 'sossing' - usually applied to tea and a biscuit. But the same can be applied to wine and cheese. Absolute heaven.

Port and Stilton.
Dry Alsace Riesling and Brie.
Claret and Cheddar.

Or even Champagne and strawberries. Complete taste bud sex.

i lost 11lbs in 14 days up until last week. Since then, i've drank shitloads and started on the Xmas treats, so that'll all be on in no time!

I stick a cd on or the radio and do a set routine, it's always hard to start with but when you start to notice a difference you soon settle into the routine. Trouble is it's costing me a fortune in new clothes.

Have you got a big shed?  Huh?

I have lost about a thousand pounds in the last month with my good lady's Christmas shopping habits.

I don't think I will be putting it back in the bank any time soon.  Sad
