Still quite early days remember. This often happens at a lot of clubs - we could yet see a few signings later in the month. Do we want the quick signings or the right ones?
Patience really is a virtue.

I think JPM, Casal, Marshall, Peacock and for the right money Morrison could all be sold if the right offers came in.

Agreed - but apart from Morrison and possibly JPM, which of those is likely to attract any bids at all?

Unless some of our youngsters come good, i mean really good.
Still...
Phil Smith
Kevin Amankwaah Sean Morrison Gordon Greer Hasney Aljofree
JP McGovern Craig Easton Michael Timlin Anthony McNamee
Billy Paynter Lee Peacock (through default. I'd rather see him as a midfielder)
Is a decent enough 1st 11 for this level anyway. That team would be mid table comfortably.

Isn't that starting XI the same team that almost got us relegated, with the exception of not including the man whose goals who saved us?

I'd play Obrien instead of Macca and Lucas rather than Smith.

In our current state this is very much where the Transfer Window counts against clubs like ourselves, who want to really reshape the squad with better players coming in.It used to be the case that a manager could build, bring in and release players over the course of the season.
With the window he's left with little time and as a result we're inevitably competing with other clubs for any players of quality. It's also much harder to get players to move on.Huddersfield the exception to the rule this close season.Judging by Fitton's BBC interview, Robinson wasn't the only striker who's turned us down.

I disagree, that team whilst good in mid and def. will not finish mid table comfotrably. Where are we going to get goals from apart from Paynter?

No. Peter Brezovan played his part. Phil Smith is better. We spent half a season without a decent left back whilst Vincent was injured. Gordon Greer was only here for the last part of the season. Aljofree was injured all season. JPM was injured for alot of last season. Craig Easton will return to form next season and be ace for us. Of course the main factor is - next season we have a different manager, assistant manager & goal keeper coach who will get more out of those players above.

Of course that team will struggle for goals. We will add a striker or 2 to the squad im sure. Easily mid table right now. I mean Walsall only have 16 on the books for next season and 7 of those are on youth contracts!

Saw him play a couple of times before the injury, he looked pretty useful, so hope that hasn't affected him.
