Who else was there that day?

Not myself. Had only recently started doing away games. Odd Elm Park trip coupled with Old Trafford in the coca-cola cup and maybe one visit to Pompey.

Bloody love that kit, even if the sleeves are insane, like three quarter lengths.

I think generally if a club loses a manager after a ‘successful’ season & an internal appointment is made - I think the hope is always that they were the brains behind the success & now they can finally prove it (from a fan perspective)

The Chinese whispers say a lot of the players when asked spoke highly on Lindsey but can’t validate those rumours what so ever.

What with Garner doing a piss poor job at Charlton and Lindsey doing a piss poor job here and at Crawley.
Who does that leave for actually being the brains behind last seasons moderate success.

Chorey is the odd man out.

The fact that he was generally thought to have done pretty well here combined with the fact that nearly 12 months later he doesn't appear to have rolled up anywhere else suggests that its possibly more of a Ben Chorley thing than a Swindon Town thing.

Yeah, you'd have to think that. Open and honest doesn't mean Clem will start telling people about former employees personal life which looks like the most logical answer given he hasn't turned up anywhere.

Yep, used to go up on coach in those days so not able to make a proper day / weekend out of it.

Had to look up who our no 4 was to be reminded of the late David Preece.
Looking at the starting lineup, no real flair players but a team of mainly experienced pros capable of grinding out results.
Moulded in the image of the manager I guess.

Chorey is the odd man out.

…and yet still oddly out of football altogether.
So probably more to it than we know.
