2,000? Where did you get that from? We only sold 5,200 last summer.
Getting on for!!  5200-3568 = 1632.  Not exactly 2000, but getting close.  1632 x average of £300 is close to half a mill down!  Still the Cox sale will put that right!

'getting close' doesn't make a lot of sense though. We can only get further away from 2000 less. Unless people return them on mass or something.

Don't matter if we compare with the beginning or end of the season we have sold 3,600 end off. The question is will we sell more ? I believe we will have a good season next year & I really think DW has what it takes to get us going in the right direction. Couple that with the board we now have & I reckon some will regret not buying an ST.
Bear in mind that two of our most successful managers in the past have had similar starts to their STFC careers as DW (Hoddle & Macari just about kept us up/ had an average start before leading us to glory)

And if we do have a good season the crowds will come regardless of many ST holders we have. That's the way football works.

True, If we're near the top in Dec a lot may buy half season tickets.

Actually this is another reason why comparing with the end of last season is more valid (If we need to compare with anything. )

Yeah, lets do that so then everyone can bitch and moan because we havent sold the same amount as last year.

The people who didnt pay their second installment last season can quite frankly fuck off. They clearly arent proper supports and the way some go on you'd think we'd just had our worst season of all fucking time.

Ok, its probably bad from a financial point of view but i'd rather have less season tickets sold than have some johnny armchair come along because they are cheap, bitch and moan all game and then not bother when we dont win every game 3 fucking 0 playing like Brazil.

you seem angry dv.count to ten or something.
people will bitch and moan regardless of anything anyway.
and it has always been obvious we wont shift as many season tickets this summer.hopefully it will make the club more money, as good form will see people paying more for a ticket on the day of a match.

I'm fine - enjoying the lack of football to be honest.

I just think its unfair to moan that ticket sales are down on last year - because that was always going to be the case.

When you consider we used to sell just over 3k season tickets, and despite the recession, we have still sold 20% more than we used to.

Has anyone moved back to the town end or decided to migrate from it?

I'm staying in there, I've got a decent spot and I think the atmosphere will begin to improve if the performances do.

I'm staying in the TE. I think at least a few of the people who moved to the south stand last season will come back cos they miss the singing.

the trouble is if Cox is sold and the money isnt spent on strengthening overall .. it might be an awful season.

Im sure DW will get it right tho .. fingers crossed
