Yes she did, took a while to diagnose but the degeneration was quite quick. In fact in the space of a football season she went from being able to get to her seat in the DRS stand to bed ridden. Then passed away about 9 months later. It’s a cruel disease, hard to watch someone you live deteriorate so badly and seems worse because they understand what is happening. Thanks chaps, it gets worse. Having had contact from my passed cousins sister I mentioned their mum (my auntie obvs) only to be told that she broke her hip recently, caught pneumonia and is in intensive care receiving end of life palliative care. So likely as not she will be unaware of her daughters passing yesterday. I’m now thinking one funeral and memorial service rolled into one in the coming weeks. Sometimes it doesn’t just rain.

Well, when life gives you lemons. I always reach for the gin and tonic, min 40% gin otherwise you’re wasting your time 😁 Tough for me yes but I’m recovering, even tougher for my cousins. |
