Not actually died today obviously, but yesterday evening was the 27th anniversary of ex Town legend Kevin Morris taking his own life so tragically. RIP Kev.

Can't think of any pipe smoking physios, so different times indeed.

Good of you to remember Kevin Morris.

I wasn't at the Rochdale Game for the tribute back in Nov. 2014 but he certainly made his mark.

Terrible - for his family and friends obviously,  but also an attack on democracy, MP's will quite understandably feel less inclined to meet their constituents in future.

The attacking of MP's at their surgeries seems to be fairly frequent now, sad times indeed.

This is one of the reasons that I have a strong aversion to 'aggressive' politics. I posted elsewhere recently that I found Angela Raynor's 'scum' comments inappropriate - Not because I necessarily thought she was wrong, but because she was wrong to say it.

There are so many people out there that are easily influenced or led. If you show them that aggressive behaviour is appropriate they will follow. But not only will they follow, they will escalate as in this case.

I don't know what the individual circumstances were, but, nothing that the MP could have done justifies someone stabbing him to death!

Wouldn't be surprised to see more of this though, as life has got a little bit shit in the last 18-24 months with life threatening disease, inability to do stuff, panic buying, items not on the shelves in shops, inability to get petrol, inability to afford to put the heating on as it gets cold, possibly no turkeys at Christmas, etc etc

A winter of discontent perhaps?

I am not sure that this can be justified in any circumstances.
