39 is no age. Cancer is so indiscriminate. Sad

Never a truer word spoken unfortunately.

Omar was one hulluva character in a tv show stacked with great characters. The genius of the acting though was making him vulnerable despite being probably the most feared man in Baltimore. Brilliant actor that Michael K Williams. RIP

One for any film buffs with an interest in the French "new wave" of the 1960's, Jean-Paul Belmondo passes at 88.

Bit of a hero of mine.

Had a serious stroke in 2001 but came back, 10 years on, to play A man and his dog, as he was, ie elderly and infirm.  Considered early on by some to lack credibility as a co star due to his ordinary looks, he went on to film with the likes of Raquel Welch, Gina Lolabrigida, Claudia Cardinale, Catherine Deneuve, Ursula Andress, Sofia Loren etc.  Famous for the original, early 60s version of Richard Gere's Breathless remake where he starred opposite the very modern but ill fated and FBI-hounded, Jean Seberg.

I'm absolutely gutted about this. Probably my favourite ever TV character.
