A few weeks ago but my girlfriend from school (still a good friend) lost her daughter unexpectedly at the young age of 39. Poor woman still hasn’t been able to see her yet, what a shyte time of year this can be for humanity, gives you a reality check does it not.

Sorry to hear that mate, I lost my Dad 7 years ago this Christmas Eve, it changes how you feel at Christmas when that happens. RIP.

Thanks to all of you for your condolences, really appreciate your comments even though I don't know you personally.
Father had been going downhill for a while and at the end of the day it probably was a welcome relief for him as he had suffered a fair bit recently.
It was still a bit of a shock as he had appeared to pick up a bit and even said 'see you tomorrow'as we left the hospital last night only for us to receive the dreaded call as soon as we arrived home.  Thanks again for your kind wishes.

Sorry to hear about your Dad Maniac

RIP June too, met her in 1980 and had my photo taken with her and Terry Scott, they were both lovely people in person.
