Tenna sales went through the roof Wink My cousin went to see him 4 or 5 times and apparently he was very good live, not my cup of beer though.

Rather contradicts Bewes often repeated account and appears at a time that Bewes can no longer comment either way sadly!

But at least it is a classy response. It wouldn't be right for Bolam to slag off Bewes when he can no longer respond.

The truth appears that one had lots of other work, while the other may not have and have wanted to rekindle former glories.

Agreed, although one could look at it alternatively that he chose to say nothing until Bewes could not respond.

FWIW Bewes main gripe (which he shared with most of the rest of the cast) was not about making any more episodes but that JB vetoed any repeating of the series on terrestrial TV and thus meant that Bewes etc did not get to earn any royalties from repeats.

‘Dear Ells,

I wonder if you could pop out on my behalf and slaughter a few people. There’s a love.

Yours menacingly

Charlie’

Cheesy a fraction too lucid for our Charlie!

For a minute there I asked myself... could this mean Ells could fund STFC  a bit like Les Scaldding financed Newport  Hmmm

Quite excited about today, presumably most of their fans will make the effort.

Only someone completely crazy would invest their fortune in a football club.

.. I see your point. Smiley

We were never pen pals or anything though.

How about Ian Watkins  Hmmm a bit closer to home.

Charles Bronson was available, but he's just got married  Smiley
