There is a new Inheritance Tax "residence nil rate band" becoming available at midnight tonight.  Postponing death by a few hours could be worth GBP 40,000 to some families.  Demand for life support machines will drop off a cliff tomorrow.

No disrespect to Brian Matthew, a silver tongued and knowledgeable broadcaster of great longevity.  He had sadly been messed about by the Beeb well before today's alarming cock up.

Yeah they mentioned that he had a heart attack on the news this morning. Similar in age to me as well, and miles more fit and healthy. Just goes to show.

That is so sad. Thoughts are with his family.

How many young black players/ ex players have been killed or had their career curtailed by heart conditions? It seems to be a frequent happening around the world. Perhaps the medical world should take note and investigate.

Shocking news.  He was just a few weeks older than me...and way fitter.  RIP.

Makes you realise that maybe we all need to live in the moment a little more.

Myself and a work colleague (who is black) also had that very same conversation this morning and he was concerned that it does see to be more frequent in black athletes than white. Muamba, Foe, Benitez and now Ehiogu spring to mind immediately.
