Apparently not. She's never watched Harry Potter or Die Hard.. We even asked her about Love Actually.. But says she hasn't seen that either.

Personally I think she's being awkward as a few months ago she told me she had never heard of The Inbetweeners, Alan Partridge or The Office. She's 25.

...and North Korean right? Otherwise, I can't compute that level of stupid.

That's so wrong I don't even know where to begin. My problem isn't that she hasn't heard of Bowie or Rickman but her view that anything outside her extremely narrow spectrum of knowledge or experience can't possibly have any worth whatsoever. If she's not heard of some one or something, it's not worth knowing.

I can only hope she reads that again a few years from now and realises how dumb and arrogant she has made herself appear.

The World has always been full of mind numbingly stupid people. These days, they all have a voice.

Thank you Social Media.

She once asked me (this is genuine): 'Have you heard of Fall Out Boy?

To which I replied 'I have indeed'

She followed up with: 'I haven't'..

Erm, you mentioned them to me?!... She does it to get the attention.. I don't entertain it to her face. That's just playing up to it.

You only have to watch University Challenge to realise that basic popular culture gets missed by some.

One of my colleagues put on Facebook "am I the only person who never heard of this latest 'celebrity' to have died?" (speaking of Alan Rickman).

She also went on to say "I just about managed to work out who the Bowie geezer was, but that's only because they kept playing his songs"..

Followed up with "these people can't exactly be legends if I have never heard of them!"

To Give a little more of a clue on her personality... She's a James Blunt fan.

Who's James Blunt anyway?

Like the sound of her and think she has you eating out of her hand.

She'll make a top High Court Judge one day.

Haha needless to say, I don't entertain her stupidity.. not directly anyway.

I won't give her the attention she so craves.

Blowfly aka Clarence Reid.. Had a greater influence on music than people realise. The film about him is worth watching if you're into that kind of thing.

Asked whether he thought he'd go to heaven or hell said "I wouldn't give a fuck". That's my kinda guy.

RIP Glenn Frey. I'm well aware of who the Eagles are, but I'm not going to pretend to be distraught at hearing of his passing.

However, lately I have been fucking dreading opening this thread whenever I see a new post has been added.

I'm sure there'll be a Facebook meme along soon to blame Ashley Williams for his death.

Dale Griffin of Mott the Hoople goes at 67..

One hell of a collaboration band has gone already in 2016.

aka Buffin, a Herefordshire lad, very much the glue of early Mott, who loved this cult, nearly band and who latterly sadly suffered from Alzheimers.  His boisterous and uncomplicated drumming complemented the "rock 'n roll". RIP.
