Keith Harris's adult ahow is/was extremely funny, saw him live 5 times and was due to see him again in October.
I never knew he had cancer but saying that he did call off the last live show we were going to see in October due to unforseen circumstances so it was probably during treatment.
RIP.
I suspect my initial interpretation of what you meant by Keith Harris's 'adult show ' was incorrect unless Orville popped round for a cup of sugar? |

One of the crowning moments of my childhood was seeing Keith Harris and Orville in panto at the Oxford Apollo, circa 1982. RIP both.
I am sure you realise that there are members of this forum who would be of the opinion that this effectively makes you an Oxford fan and that you should stop living a lie and buy your season ticket for the Kassam immediately   |

My grandparents (God rest their souls) used to live in a village near Wallingford...which is how we ended up at the Oxford panto. I can assure there was nothing more to it than that!
Neither grandparent ever showed the slightest interest in football, incidentally. Least of all the yellow variety.

 which side of the historic county boundary? Wallingford itself being in Berkshire, the bridge out east leading into Oxfordshire. |

Good call, Reg. They lived near the top of the old boot of Berkshire (which I didn't realise, up until now, extended all the way up to the outskirts of Oxford itself.) They were Reading people anyway, originally. Which is probably a fail also in some people's books.
