Of the names that have been bandied around I think it is only Dowie & Pardew that haven't been ruled out...so it is either going to be one of them or someone totally unexpected.
Maybe it will take another week though as Roy Keane has said he wants to be a manager again sometime - maybe Fitton has to approach him just top rule him out !!!

Dowie was on Big Weekend 2 today and comes across as a really intelligent football guy. Has had success at Oldham and Palace as someone else said and I reckon we could do a lot worse.

Diamandis
Just reading that name sent a shudder through me. The anniversary of the date on which that arsehole inspector left the premises (for good) is approaching the weekend after next. The occasion should be celebrated joyously and marked by all who love STFC. Perhaps AF will agree to the sacrifice of an animal in the centre circle immediately before we kick off against Yeovil?

Why do you think the new appointment manager is taking so long?
Diamandis is probably rise out of the ground where the centre circle is, dressed as the grim reaper and say "suuuuurrrprise". Although we won't hear because the tannoys are shit.

I'm getting a bit pissed off with this all taking so long. I reckon we should be given a clear indication of who the contenders are tomorrow. We deserve some news after being patient enough with Byrne and the constant last-minute goals we're conceding. Every other clubs fans would of been told by now who's in contention etc, but we have no fucking clue.

So you're telling me that Dowie isn't coming in on Thursday? Patience people. Whoever, comes in has Malpas' squad until January anyway. Crewe, Yeovil, Orient & Brighton all coming up - 4 games where under the right guidance we could come out with 9, 10 or even 12 points (okay maybe not, but you know what I mean).

Mr Fitton said before the crewe game, why should he rush on your say so,he does have other things to attend to.Let the man do his job so he can get the right manager to take us forward. Be patient.

Dowie is a pretty clever bloke (he has a degree in rocket science or something) and I can imagine Fitton getting on with him. I think Holloway has been getting a bit used to playing the village idiot in TV and radio interviews etc and sounds like he may have carried it on into his interview which I can imagine Fitton would not have been overly impressed with. I like the fact that Dowie had not been ruled out......yet. All complete and utter supposition I know but let's face it, that's all we've got right now!
