In these hard financial times, why not contact the Football League and F.A., and tell them that these crap refs. are driving down gates by pissing off the fans.  You don't pay good money to watch amateur hour and that includes the officials.

Apart from the Ref being Dogshit which I totally agree with , your post sums up my last post perfectly!

Congrats!

Spot on Digby's Dad!

Just looked back.

For the first time a TEF poster has yanked my chain....

I played a bit and won a few medals - coached and managed and won a few more....junior football but never the less i put the boots on and played from 15 to 35...broke my leg, wrist and jaw and didnt regret a thing.
While i wasnt playing i went following (home and away)the Town (1979+)and have managed to cover over 60 odd grounds and have seen Swindon play in every division....ive seen um play shit and i have seen them piss all over teams and like today ive seen them indifferent.
Also been to see England home and away and several European matches when i cadged the tickets through business.
Now this of course doesnt make me an expert and the nature of a forum is to agree and disagree (please see pauld posts) but....i do know shit from pudding......

It didnt matter where you were sat to watch todays game.

The defence panic and the keeper 'slapped' the ball and fucked up - end of.

that could of been seen from Stratton Bank, Arkells, Don Rog, Town End or outer fucking space!!!!!!!!!

We are also one point of relegation or am i talking out of my ass on that as well?Huh? Huh?

Oh,and talking of the ref what was that whistle all about after JP had taken that free-kick in the first half? What a twat!
JP took the freekick before the ref had blown to recommence play. The ref wasn't even looking in his direction - he was looking at some pushing and shoving in the box. He blew the whistle to signal play recommencing while the ball was in the air.

He should probably have had the kick retaken, & possibly booked J-P.

Oh,and talking of the ref what was that whistle all about after JP had taken that free-kick in the first half? What a twat! How did Thirlwell not get booked for diving in the area?Their right back commityed 3 bookable fouls in the first 20 minutes-no card and a licence to kick lumps out of Macca for the rest of the game.I havent been that incensed by a ref since Mr Reynolds in 1970 v Blackpool!

Ref was a shocker.....Soccer am could easily use the clips for the KungFu section.

I think I saw a different game to most on here. Both teams on that showing are relegation fodder. Both teams were absolute snit. They were both there for the taking and if we get relegated, which is a distinct possibility, then it will be games like this that do it.
Unlike most others, I thuoght our defence was bollox, more so in the 1st half where we were lucky a few times. Jerel was Jerel, great and shit in equal measure. Aljofree again concentrated on his own game and made no effort to form a cohesiv e defensive unit and gave no encouragement to Kennedy. Saying that he played OK.
The midfiled was gash as a unit. Peacock was MOM for me. MacNamee did some skills that had me off my seat. It was good to see him involved.
Cox and Paynter were OK.
The goalkeeper debate is getting silly and increasingly i feel the only solution is to be shot of both. Smith played OK but still fucked up on the goal - a weak punch into a dangerous area. That said, nobody tried to get to the man and nobody got their body in the way and that ball travelled into the net. But this is groundhog day.
The referee was a cunt but didn't cost us the game. Their no 4 should have had a straight red for his attempt to break MacNamee's leg. Thirwell should actually have got two yellows for two dives, one after the other.
Basically, we were dogshit in a dogshit of a game. We are really in trouble and whoever the new manager is will earn their money. When you consider the defence do not opwerate as a cohesive unit - the midfield neither cover the back 4 or support the front 2 then we're in the shit. If Cox goes, as it stands we're fucked.

I do agree but can you confirm to Beriman where you watched this game from........you may have your angles wrong!

all this bollocks about the referee is exactly that bollocks..........ok he was rubbish but he didn't cost us anything........................ultimately it was our fault giving away too many cheap free kicks. Ifil could of easily got sent off for his 2 footed challenge on the edge of the box (although yes he won the ball in that mad 5 minutes). Ultimately again today proved that Byrne isn't up to the job and the fact that last week he told Fitton and Watkins that we had our best performance of the season against Walsall made me laugh, just glad Spearman was there. I admire your loyalty Pauld but we despirately need a new fresh manager.... I'm just fed up and frustrated at the moment!

I didn't think we were as shit today as some are claiming, but football is subjective so everyone is entitled to their shout.

Someone suggested getting shot of Smith and Brez on account of them not being good enough. A very good point, which, I think also applies to the likes of Aljofree, Pook, Paynter, Amankwa and JPM for a start. The fuckers are just not good enough. They may have been acceptable under the last board and for the likes of Malpas, but if Fitton is going to ring the changes as we all hope he will, he needs to ship out players like this - along with our shit management and back room team. It's no coincidence that Sturrock, though I hated the attitude of the fat sweaty cunt when he was here, brought in his own management team and fucked off the dross players rapidly when he arrived, seeing our performances and results rise at the same time. Conversly, results and performances have dipped significantly since that management setup departed to Plymuff.

Brez and Smith have been shit for too long. Both had purple patches a season or two ago, but they are consistently shit now, despite having a dedicated goalkeeping coach at the club in Granville. It may be that there is a perception of having too much competition for the GK shirt and that is making them both feel nervous. Well, apart from the obvious observation that it is for our Manager / caretaker manager to iron out phsycological shit like that, try being on the Honda fucking hit list 3 weeks before Christmas with 3 kids to feed! Fuck, the excuses can only go so far. Fact is, we're consistently shipping goals due to dodgy keeping decisions, ergo, our keepers are consistently shit. Ship both cunts out.

Aljofree puts in the odd decent performance - today included, but the cunt is clearly playing for himself. I didn't see him encourage or talk to Kennedy once today, which is fucking awful for a seasoned pro. His back chat to the fans this season might have stopped, but he seems to be taking his wages, putting in decent enough shifts to justify his pay check, but doesn't give a fuck about his team mates or the fact that the department that he heads-up (our defence) is consistently shipping sloppy goals. Another one to fuck off asap.

Pook is now comfortably back to his old self.

Paynter. Same as Aljofree. The odd decent game and grabbed goal, but he's a moody fucker and is not fast enough or mobile enough. Never seems likely to become a genuine strike partner for anyone as he also seems to play for himself. Wouldn't surprise me if he's a 'billy no mates' at the club. Seems to have fuck all passion anyway.

Amankwah and JPM. Nowhere near good enough or consistent enough.

Also, Cox does way too much work for a centre forward. A decent manager with a bit of nous would reign him in for doing too much running in the wrong places. I love his work rate - deffo not having a bitch at him - but he doesn't need to compensate for a shit midfield by doing all their running for them as it leaves us short up front, which is where he should be, adding goals to his brilliant tally so far this season.

It's shit that Corr is crocked yet again as him and Cox could could be an awesome partnership in this division if only we could give them decent service.

Fitton needs to appoint someone who'll see through all the shit, cut out the dross, bring in management bods who know what they want and how to achieve it.  Holloway would be my choice now as he knows his own mind, is local, has all the the experience and track record under his belt already. Not sure Andy Fitton has the balls to appoint someone like that who'll maybe challenge and prod away at his ego on a regular basis.

Loyalty schmoyalty. The counter to that is that you're so desperate to blame Byrne for everything you're even prepared to excuse that Psycho Bates. Sorry to hear you're so frustrated tho Glos, the internet provides a wealth of opportunities for dealing with that condition Smiley

Fuck sake, our striking partnership is one area where things are going right. If it wasn't for those two, we'd be bottom of the table. Yet they're getting slagged off!

I couldn't give a shit if Barry Corr was the best player in the world. He's only been able to play 3 minutes of football because he's constantly injured. It's a shame, but it's players like that we need to get rid of first and also the players who can't get in the team (Blair Sturrock etc). That probably sounds harsh, but it's more logical.

Aljofree is our best center back, up untill yesterday pook has been playing really well, paynter  does so much donkey work that goes unnoticed and an on song mcgovern has the talent to be one of the best right mids in the division. People who cannot wait to get on their backs do nothing to help the situation.

Why did you hate the 'fat sweaty cunt', who is one of, if not the best manager outside the top flight? I'd say we miss his motivational skills more than anything since he left. He also brought in aljofree, paynter and mcgovern, three players you say you want to leave! make your mind up.

Why both? Brez kept the only clean sheet of the season for us, and is a better keeper than smith at his best, no two ways about it. Im fairly sure most of the goals we've conceded are down to a shite defence too, so dont be too hasty to immediatley stick the shit on the keepers.

hahahahahahah. Whearas every other single footballer on the planet has everyone else's interests first except their own. Stop living in fantasy land.

I saw him talk to kennedy and ifil quite a bit yesterday, but dont let the facts get in the way of a good old stereotypical moan eh?

After one bad game? Jesus, the lad cannot win. Why are there no similar comments for other players that played poor yesterday i.e. jack smith. Oh thats right, he's not a scapegoat.

Worst. Paragraph. Ever. Not fast enough or mobile enough? The mans a brick shit-house, the closest we've got too one. Never seems likely to become a genuine strike partner? Have you seen the cox-paynter partnership at any time this season. Plays for himself? Ho Ho Ho. Look back over all of our goals this season, and Paynter will have played a significant part in at least half of them. He does so uch hard work that goes unnoticed, look out for him next time eh? Instead of immediatley insisting he's shite.

Quote
Amankwah and JPM. Nowhere near good enough or consistent enough.
Amankwaah granted. Though he's little worse than jack smith imho. JPM i disagree. He lacks consisteny, but definatly has the skill. Under malpas he was cack, but in the last few games he's shown why he's so highely rated.

Quote

Paynter and cox is more than adequate, as you can tell by the goal tally between them. Get your head out your jacksy.
