....and who would be play(ing) instead Barry fucking Corr?
If only he were ever fit, then yes, but as that's only likely to happen just after hell freezes over then it's going to be Paynter to play every game. What pisses me off about Billy and his fan club, is that we seem to be free to slag off Aljofree, Pook, Peacock and everyone else, but unless we see just how great Paynter is we're all blind & stupid. The bloke's attitude is shit, he's the first on the pitch to start pointing fingers when anything goes wrong with everyone else. I'd just like to see him concentrate on doing his job right, and show some fight, when things aren't going his way. Oh, and by the way, I saw Berniman's header too, and the only thing wrong with it was that he header it to a Carlisle player (although I guess that should be forgiven as it was a carlisle throw in)

Anyone who says Paynter is overrated is having a laugh anyway - his promising young player phase is over and most town fans don't think he's all that. How can you be overrated when most don't rate you at all?
I think the person who probably rates him the most is Simon Cox - look at his interviews. The fact that Cox and Paynter jointly have more assists than our entire midfield put together shows a lot.

I thought Paynter was a waste of time yesterday, looked to me like he ran around and did fcuk all all game.
Someone said Cox runs around too much, spot on, the bloke is far too good for this team its blatant. Must be frustrating and fair play he trys to make it all happen himself. No one else could have chested it down and volleyed it goalwards like that - sheer class I bloody hope we keep him next month.
I also voted for Peacock man of the match thought he once again put in 100% and was our most effective player.
Me and my mate have come to the conclusion that JP McGovern is indeed "The best player in league 2". Bet he's on a fat wedge and all. He aint earning it.
Pook had a solid enough game, put a couple of great through balls which went unnoticed then got booed when he passed back to phil smith.
Good to see beast back. Aljofree looks a bit lazy whats going on there.
game of opinions? My Arse!!

Second of all, if you think Kennedy going down, Dick Mackey coming on and stretching his leg out then Kennedy hobbling and then Kennedy being subbed and then Byrne saying Kennedy had cramp isnt in any way linked then you are a fucking retard.
I'm fucking impressed you wrote that sequence of events down for me. It all fits neatly together now and fully justifies why our defence got rearranged and promptly conceeded yet another late fucking goal.
As you say, I'm obviously a complete retard for suggesting otherwise.
Sorry for missing the fact that our physio is incapable of treating a pro footballer for the well known killer-injury that is muscle cramp, you fucking mong.

peacock was barely better than pook.both were ropey.
Put the crack pipe down. Peacock had an excellent game. I lost count me the number me attacks he broke up yesterday. It wasn't down to luck. It was down to hard work. Some games he just runs around a lot without doing anything. Yesterday was not one of those days. Pook on the other hand did have one me those unproductive days. It happens to everyone.

What i don't understand is the Peacock bashing, typically by Arriba.....We'd be fucked without him! (Peacock not Arriba ) Pook was piss poor yesterday, so how anyone can compare Peacs' performance to Pooky's is beyond me....... We've got the players capable of achieving mid table IMO. Yes we have some 'deadwood' within our team, but then who doesn't? It's just a case of bringin a manager in who can breath some confidence into the squad (Holloway, please!). Oh and i have the best angle in the stadium, so i'm right and you lot are wrong. Fact.

I hope Fitton appoints someone soon and they are able to do a good job, this squabbling is a continuation of the Malpas era and we need to change it out fast.

Question - Do any of you think we would have more points now if Malpas stayed?

It's funny how different people see things. The players that mostly lay into others are McGovern and Peacock from what I've seen. Though I can never hear what they're saying. They may be telling Cox to stop running around so much

They may be telling Cox to stop running around so much Now i ent McGovern's biggest fan, but he impressed me yesterday. Got through a lot of work, but he still drifts inside waaay too much. He's a good crosser of the ball, so if he sticks to the wing more often, we could be onto a winner. What would be everyones starting XI for the trip to Crewe? I think it's about time to bring Easton back into the midfield and drop Pook to the bench. And despite a good debut, i'd drop Kennedy to the bench and bring Timlin back in at left back, due to it bein an away game un'all. Apart from that, i'd keep the team the same.

But let's say he left Kennedy on, and we had lost a goal due to his inability to get back and defend. Not only would Byrne have been a complete mong for not taking off a player who was struggling with cramp, but Kennedy would also probably been slagged off for being utter shite. The ultimate no-win situation, (other wise known as Swindon being a goal up in the last minute )
