I spoke to Jim tonight, who used to post on here, and he's heard that Stuart Pearce is the 'surprise candidate'. He will be both u21 manager and our's. I said that was total bollocks but he said he heard it from 4 different people even one from inside the club. Not sure. Seems a bit too dubious to me. He has no reason to lie and has been correct in the past- speak to Bushey.

Oh I would put this in the managers rumour thread but it seems to be locked.

EDIT: Matbe I could of put it in the 'dream on' thread... Doh

No way ... this deserves its own thread. Top rumour that.  If, just if ....

Aaaaand, as an amazing coincidence I've just posted something about a shower cubicle elsewhere which weirdly links in to the Psycho thing, yeah! Therefore it must be ordained, he's on his way here AS WE SPEAK!

Maybe he's under orders from Capello / The FA to get some club experience again if he ever wants to be considered for the top job.

I'd love to be proved wrong, but can't see it happening. Not sure what I think about not being the priority for him either.

Don't like the idea of job sharing, isn't he still involved in the senior national team too?  So that'd effectively be three teams he's involved with, although I do know that he lives near Marlborough, his kids go to the same school as my managers kids.

He's meant to be a nice bloke.

You'd have thought he'd be the favourite to take over from Calderwood at Nottm Forest...

Not necessarily DV like I say his family are settled in the Wilts area, why would he want to uproot them to go to Forest, it's not like he needs the money (or the hassle).

I've read his autobiography and he comes across as a really down to earth bloke.

Didn't get into professional football until relatively late and worked as an electrician for a London borough.

Don't know if he would suit the job though, his previous managerial experiance in league football is hardly awe inspiring.............

Yeah that's my feeling Hertha, big name, exciting for the masses, but no track record to get too excited about.

I never said he wanted to go there.

I guess I should have said the fans favourite, as he's a Forest legend and they all want Calderwood sacked.

I never said you did say that DV.  Just giving a reason why he may not go back up to Nottingham.

FB said "English Malpas."

Ha ha, good point FB.

There are a few parallels. I think his record is a bit better though.

According to wikipedia his brother's in the BNP, how topical.

I'll ask my manager to have a word with his wife, see if she gives anything away!
