Lawrie Sanchez coming in...
Can we stop this crazy talk. It makes me sad inside. Just say no to Sanchez. What is Mike Newell up to these days. edit: oh Grimsby then.

Of course we can. I am lean very much towards the anti-Sanchez camp.

Thinking about it further, what have we been told? "A surprising name", "will blow your socks off", and "will blow your mind". I'm going for a dream team of Englebert Humperdinck, Richard Reid shoe bomber as assistant, and Timothy Leary, LSD guru, as sports psychologist. What odds do you think I'll get on that little lot?

I think the person he is on about where he said it would be a dream move but maybe not the right one is Macari....

Sadly Leary is dead....he must whiff a bit by now. Turn on, Tune in, Drop out....the mantra for a generation it's good to see, the likes of fB DV and SY carrying on the good work.

We need someone totally unconnected to the club to grab it by the scruff of the neck. No room for sentiment, Macari or Hoddle I'm afraid.

Daily Mail, November 26th Exclusive: Sam Allardyce poised for Nottingham Forest rescue act By Ian Ladyman
Nottingham Forest are ready to offer Sam Allardyce a dramatic return to football with current boss Colin Calderwood on the brink of the sack. Sportsmail understands Forest chairman Nigel Doughty has already opened talks with the former Bolton manager about the City Ground job. Aidy Boothroyd, Billy Davies and Iain Dowie are also on Forest's short-list but Allardyce is Doughty's first choice to breathe life into the ailing Midlands club. Allardyce has been aware of Forest's interest for around a month and despite reservations over the amount of money available for transfers, he is now ready to hear what Doughty has to say.

I can't think of any managers, currently employed, that we could get and would blow our socks off. There are a few that could be considered seriously far-fetched possibilities, but none of which would cause me to piss my pants: Russell Slade, Paul Trollope, Colin Calderwood, Martin Ling...

I'm firmly in the camp anti-Sanchez as well. Definately a no thank you.
I wonder if Ardiles is in with a hoot. I don't think he's employed, he's been chirping about a return to English football for years and has been in the country and press a fair bit of late.

I thought that too. Either him or a recently retired big name player
