Oh bollocks, dinner has arrived this morning. I watched Grown ups last week, and thought it was fucking terrible, Looks like love film might be getting the worlds fastest return tomorrow.
Give it a spin, you never know. To be honest, I can't remember much about Schmucks or Grown Ups now which doesn't bode well for either film.

Watched The Squid and the Whale earlier with Jeff Daniels, Laura Linney and Jesse Eisenberg. Pretty good film which looks very much like a Wes Anderson film (he produced). Owen Kline is good as the younger brother.
In many ways it's your normal eccentric family falls apart movie but it's held together thanks to a strong script.

I think most people who don't know anything about it think it's going to be a laugh out loud comedy whereas it's pretty dark and violent. Good film.
one of my favourite films, bought a few books which the film is based on. its a comic-book-movie so was never intended to be a comedy

I know but the trailers for the film concentrate on the comedic parts film so people who didn't realise that it was comic book adaptation are the ones who find it surprising.

Watched Thumbsucker which was a decent enough drama with some good scenes, perhaps for a required taste.
Finally managed to watch The King's Speech and I really enjoyed it. I think Tom Hooper has a good directing career ahead of him. I liked The Damned United and loved John Adams and this was a simple yet brilliantly executed drama which was also really quite funny in places too.

Watched the room after. Without doubt the worst film i've ever seen, but also the funniest. 100 minutes of the sort of stuff garth marenghi's dark place parodys. Haven't lAaughed so hard in ages
It's brilliant, isn't it? $6m well spent.

Well I bit the bullet and watched it last night, it, it, it's.......Awsome. Completely and utterly bonkers, god knows how the script got the green light, but i'm glad it did. Not your typical american comedy (thank god), but the irreverant humour was right up my street. Right I'm off to look for the other half's naughty purse...

Also watched In Bruges again yesterday, really good film, i only noticed all the judgement day bits this time, didnt catch them the first time i watched it a few years ago
